Six-Class Series on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in San Anselmo

John Pedersen, one of the local masters of the old-time fiddle and banjo tradition, will be offering a 6-session workshop in San Anselmo for acoustic instrumentalists who wish to learn old time banjo music and techniques.

Drawing on the traditions of New England, the Ontario region and the Southeastern Appalachians, John will cover a variety of tunes and share some of his "down-home" philosophy about technique and style. Students will learn frailing style picking.

John is a patient teacher and his deep love for old-time music comes through in his colorful stories and infectious joy in playing.  Come join us for what should be an exciting class!

The class will be "ear taught" so students should plan to bring a recording device.

Cost for the class is $150 for 6 sessions ($30 per class drop-in).
